Assessment 1: In-Class Test

A range of formative devices typically in-class tests/mock exams, formative feedback on summative assessments, reviews of files and folders etc., will be used by tutors to aid learning. The exact nature of these assessment devices is at the discretion of the module tutor.

Open-book Exam.
This is an unseen open book examination. 
Materials allowed: Students are permitted to take in a maximum of 4 sides of A4 of their own notes, which are either typed or handwritten.

<p>In module, you will learn about the structure of land law as it relates to England and Wales. This includes exploring the different types of estates in land, the interests that can arise over land owned by another, the formalities for the creation and protection of estates and interests, rules relating to the transfer of land and the rights and liabilities of owners of the estates and interests.</p>

Land Law

Effectively communicate solutions to legal problems, arguments and analysis in a variety of forms within the context of land law.

Apply a sustained critique of potential arguments and developed conclusions to legal problems.

Demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate and apply theoretical concepts, principles and rules of land law to complex legal problems and scenarios, with an analysis of potential arguments and clearly developed conclusions.

Develop an ability to select, critically analyse and use a range of appropriate primary and secondary legal materials, with accurate legal referencing. 

Develop a detailed understanding of the fundamental legal principles of land law, within aspects of their social, institutional and cultural contexts.
