<p>If you have some basic previous knowledge of British Sign Language the module enables you to reach a more sophisticated level of BSL usage, allowing you to communicate effectively with deaf people in a variety of situations. It also provides you with information about deaf people, the deaf community and deaf culture. The module contributes to the attainment of skills broadly comparable to the Common European Framework for Languages A1&#43;/A2 level.</p>
