<p>This module takes a global approach to the period c. 1350-1800. It will consider events and themes relating to political, religious, cultural, social, and economic history. European interactions with the wider world and early colonialism will be examined, but non-European cultures will also be discussed in their own right. Students will explore a range of evidence including material culture and visual representations alongside written sources.</p>

be able to develop a reasoned line of argument and communicate this in writing.

be able to effectively communicate in writing, using referencing and demonstrating appropriate digital literacy.

be able to engage with and analyse primary sources from the era 1350-1800. 

be able to evaluate differing perspectives and historical interpretations of travel and transformation in the late-Medieval and Early Modern periods.
