Essay on one of the main themes: Design Management; Scenario planning; Managing Innovation; Developing an Innovation Strategy; Building an innovation case; Capturing learning from innovation. The use of the learning log, developed throughout classes, will form a basis for this assessment task.

<p>On this module you will learn about taking an innovative approach to textiles and their applications to innovative products. As critical thinkers and practitioners you will develop an understanding of the different methods you might use to validate, enhance and transform your textile and product ideas into marketable products for a clearly defined market segment. You will be introduced to Design Management; Scenario planning; Managing Innovation; Developing an Innovation Strategy; Building an innovation case; Capturing learning from innovation. The module is made up of lectures and guided seminars which will help you to build a portfolio of knowledge and skills for application in developing product innovation with textiles.  </p>
