Assessment 1: Portfolio

The module portfolio will consist of work produced for projects taking place within the module; to include all preparatory and finished work, and a ‘making of’ film documentary/showreel.
The portfolio will evidence an amount of work associated with the study hours as listed under Learning Methods.

Portfolio

<p>Building on your experience during the first year, this module continues to promote research and experiment in the production of practical work. You will draw upon knowledge and progress gained in Animation Studio 1 in order to extend the range of your animation practice. You will be encouraged to develop greater collaboration within and across our other subjects in art, design and technology and experience every aspect of the medium, from mastering existing techniques and technologies, to developing new approaches to visual temporality and storytelling through digital media. Debates and issues within contemporary animation practice will continue to inform your thinking and development, and you will begin to recognise a range of contexts in which to develop your work.  The module will enable you to continue to expand your creative and intellectual potential through practice, supported by contextual study, theory and criticism. You will continue to develop a structured and self-critical methodology in relation to your studio work. The module continues to promote a wide range of intellectual and technical processes, with idea exploration, interpretation of themes through appropriate visual languages, and experimental media usage.</p>
