Presentation

The module uses live projects to combine advanced technical skills workshops with working collaboratively in a professional context. Preliminary project proposals are submitted after an initial diagnostic period, which is supported by seminars to establish guidelines and the properties of each project. Teaching content and tutorials build the expectation in regard to the practical competencies, strengthening existing skills, whilst introducing a new and increasingly professionally relevant skill set. A live project can be issued by an organisation or company, or sought by yourself, competitions can also be considered at the preliminary stage. Importantly the projects should be brief based, that requires a problem-solving outcome. The module aims to promote image-based experimentation as part of a professionally facing context. Assignments are predominantly self-directed and are to focus on producing still and moving image to an increasingly professional standard.
