Assessment 1: Portfolio

You are expected to complete a Digital Design Portfolio comprising of outputs produced using different digital tools This coursework will assess your understanding of key concepts of BIM in its application for Architectural Technology taking into consideration how this was incorporated into the design of a non-domestic medium scale building, addressing learning outcomes (1-6).  
For this assignment you will be looking at how BIM modelling applications and BIM based digital environment have been incorporated into your design work at TIA1800. In order to demonstrate that the structure of the Digital Design Portfolio should follow the format of a BIM Execution Plan (BEM) indicating:
Project Information – describe what is the information Required by the EIR (Employer’s Information Requirements). This should be developed from the Project Brief, Site/Building Analysis, Client and Users information.Project Implementation Plan, including Project Goals for Information Modelling in accordance with the Major Project Milestones.Project Information Model (PIM) Delivery Strategy matching the level of development required in each Design Review (Interim and Final) of TIA1800.

Portfolio

<p>The aim of the module is to provide you the opportunity to develop advanced skills in digital modelling, analysis and simulation. It will enable you to have the competence to work in a BIM based digital environment for any construction project. The module will start from conceptual design collaboration, BIM based computational design and continue to the multidisciplinary design coordination and 4D construction simulation. It will cover the key digital design technologies in every stage of a construction project.</p>
