This module is delivered over two terms and includes formative assessment points during the module. Formative assessment will be conducted through tutorials and seminars.

Assessment 2: Project Work

Innovation Design Palettes (Material, Luminaire, Furniture and Graphic) and Sample board (with Selection Criteria Analysis) to support and enhance design project work.

Project Work

You will be encouraged to develop an awareness and understanding of fundamental concepts and principles related to the design and construction industry and contextual appreciation of the work of the Interior Designer in the design, implementation and material selection process.
Through the module you will be encouraged to acquire and develop a vocabulary and understanding of fundamental concepts and principles associated with the design of the built environment and the work of an Interior Designer.
The work undertaken in the module will provide a general overview of design and building technology issues and topics and you will be encouraged to utilise such knowledge and understanding in associated design work and other modules.
