<p>This module will build on the second year material in disorders and diseases of the ocular system to consider the changing requirements for optometric practice across the age range. Students will consider optometry practice for paediatric patients including the development phases of vision, management of low vision, cataracts and the consequences of ocular degeneration associated with ageing and other systemic diseases such as diabetes. Practical elements of this module will link closely with clinical practice sessions as in SHO3005.</p>

Compulsory for eligibility to apply for Registration as an Optometrist through the General Optical Council.
