<p>The module concentrates on the analysis, design, build and test of audio circuits &amp; systems with technical report writing and presentation. Using practical examples, data sheets and application of electronic theory you will explore audio transistor amplifiers, IC audio amplifiers, valve amplifier design, audio filters, mixing consoles, guitar and studio processors and audio equalisation networks. This analysis will increase your basic understanding and practical electronic skills. You will develop skills associated with; analysis, design, build, test/measurement and report writing.</p>

Fully transfer skills to an industrial setting.

Use a range of established techniques to initiate and undertake critical analysis of a variety of audio electronic circuits and systems, and to propose solutions to problems arising from that analysis.

Critically analyse the technical performance of electronic components, audio circuits and systems, test equipment and procedures.

Prescribe and design appropriate solutions for pre-amplifiers for a given purpose.

Recognise and understand established designs used in a range of audio electronic circuits and systems.

Gain knowledge and critical understanding of well-established electronic design principles, and of the way in which those principles have developed over time.
