Students will undertake a series of practical tasks designed to help develop skills in the practical sessions. Feedback, advice and guidance will be provided for these exercises.

Assessment 1: Practical Skills Assessment

Individually record and produce a vox pop 30 – 50 seconds in length, and 30 second commercial with supporting 400 – 500 word written report evaluating performance.

Practical Skills Assessment

Assessment 2: Practical Skills Assessment

Plan and produce a programme and deliver the programme in a simulated live scenario working in a small group (30 minute programme – including approximately 15 minutes of student generated content). After the live broadcast each individual is required to undertake an online evaluation assessing the group performance.

<p>This module explores radio programme making, broadcasting technologies, communication theory, and the legal frameworks surrounding the production of broadcast material. Working both individually and in teams, you will plan, produce, present, and evaluate a range of audio content that has been created for a specific target audience and purpose.</p>
