This module provides the opportunity for you to develop the key skills required to order and interpret a range of clinical investigations and imaging modalities used in the diagnosis and management of foot and lower limb pathology. 
This module will introduce you to the general principles that underpin the interpretation of diagnostic images taken using a variety of imaging techniques. The module will provide you with a systematic approach to interpretation of podiatric images and outline how pathology is manifested. This module will also enable you to develop the key skills required to order and interpret a range of clinical investigations used in the diagnosis and management of foot and lower limb pathology.

Clinical Investigations and Diagnostic Imaging for Podiatrists

Utilise imaging and other clinical investigations to aid diagnosis and inform surgical decision making and evaluate critically the validity of x-ray and other measurements in surgical practice.

Demonstrate an understanding of the various approaches to imaging, the advantages and disadvantages of each and the value of imaging techniques in the evaluation of pathology.

Select and critically appraise a range of diagnostic images and clinical investigations.

Demonstrate the judicious and appropriate selection, interpretation and critical analysis and of a range of clinical laboratory investigations in the management of foot and ankle pathology.
