<p>As a health or social care professional you will come into contact with individuals who have a diagnosis of a learning disability. In addition to having a learning disability, they may also have additional needs or diagnoses, including autism. This module provides an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the legal, ethical and professional obligations when working with people who have a learning disability. It will assist you in becoming more confident as you implement key legislation and ethical principles pertaining to people with learning disabilities.</p>
