<p>Practice based education is a critical component of the learning and development of the future paramedic and underpins their lifelong learning. It is a multi-faceted role which includes drawing on excellent interpersonal skills to teach, assess, facilitate and role model expert practice. This prepares qualified paramedics to act as practice educators to students studying on pre-registration programmes of paramedic education approved by the HCPC, and newly qualified paramedics in their preceptorship period. </p>
