This assessment task is Pass/Refer/Fail

This module focuses on the increasing importance of inter-professional and inter-agency working. You will be supported to develop the knowledge and skills required to work effectively within Social Care organisations alongside other professionals and agencies. Themes of empowerment and anti- oppressive practice within organisations will be considered. You will also practice your team working skills during seminars and gain an insight into inter-agency working through lectures delivered by representatives from a variety of organisations.
In this module you will develop your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of social workers, and of the challenges and opportunities that come with changing contexts of practice. The module reflects the importance of inter-professional and inter-agency working and you will develop your understanding of how your practice is influenced by collaborating with service users, different professionals and agencies. You will have opportunities to work in small groups and seminars where your team skills can be practised and developed. You will also be provided with theoretical material on working in groups, teams, networks and organisations.
This module will provide you with underpinning knowledge that is required to meet the Chief Social Workers’ Knowledge and Skills Statements.
