Formative assessment is a feature of every clinical session which provides the opportunity for mock assessment and rehearsal of the examination techniques.
Appropriate feedback will be given to students within the clinical environment throughout the module.

Neurological and Vascular OSCE (exam regs).

You will have the opportunity to assess and manage a wide variety of podiatric conditions in the University’s podiatry clinic and during a four-week practice placement. You will complete practical classes to develop your neurological and vascular assessment skills, whilst orthotic sessions give you an opportunity to practically explore the prescription and manufacture of custom orthoses.

Compulsory for eligibility for Registration with the College of Podiatry.

Effectively and safely prescribe, fabricate, dispense and evaluate a range of foot orthoses.

Produce evidence of a range of professional clinical skills relevant to the practice of podiatry and the concept of lifelong learning.


Safely use and interpret a range of assessment skills to investigate vascular and neurological    status of the lower limb within normal clinical time constraints.

Work to a management plan to safely and competently demonstrate a relevant range of skills within the clinical situation.

Apply the theoretical principles which support this intermediate stage of clinical practice.
