<p>You will explore essential occupational skills, proficiencies and strategies to enable you undertake the police constable and detective role in practice. You will demonstrate key competencies, such as safe handling of suspects, use of policing equipment, and strategies for ensuring personal safety, before entering supported work-based learning within your home police force. You will be supported to produce a portfolio to demonstrate your acquisition of these key occupational competencies in furtherance of gaining Independent Patrol Status.</p>

Students will be required to pass this assessment to be permitted to be awarded Independent Patrol Status in accordance with PSRB requirements.
