<p>You will explore and practice the fundamental and enhanced occupational skills, proficiencies and strategies to enable you undertake the police constable role in practice independently. You will be engaged in policing in a range of contexts, including, for example, policing communities, policing the roads, digital policing and criminal investigation. Through your practice, you will develop key skills in how to respond ethically and appropriately to incidents, communicate effectively, gather and maintain information and intelligence, and professional decision-making. You will be supported to produce a portfolio to demonstrate your acquisition of these key occupational competencies in furtherance of gaining Full Occupational Competency (FOC).</p>

Students will be required to pass this assessment to be permitted to be awarded Independent Patrol Status in accordance with PSRB requirements.
