<p>In this module you&#39;ll consider that the way we see the world is strongly influenced by social and cultural representations, in terms of ideas and images created in popular culture including the new media modes of information and entertainment delivery that make claims to truth and engender power relations in society. You&#39;ll explore the ways in which contemporary social issues are represented in the images and ideas in popular culture today. This may take a multidisciplinary approach, examining how social representations, ideas and images are created and the implications they have both for the individual and society.</p>
