Assessment 1: Lesson plan

Formative assessment will take place through either discussion of first draft of the lesson plan or face-to-face tutorials.

Assessment 1: Practical Skills Assessment

Students will prepare, plan and resource a lesson of 90 minutes duration. 20 minutes of this session will then be taught by the student to their peer group in a ‘microteaching’ session.

A written rationale which justifies the choice of methodology and materials in the lesson plan with reference to the context and nature of the learners

<p>In this module you will explore the theory and practice of English language teaching. You will examine approaches and materials for the teaching of grammar, lexis and the receptive and the productive skills from both a practical and theoretical perspective.</p>
