Assessment 1: Oral Assessment

A critical account and evaluation of pedagogies informing the planning and teaching of a sequence of lessons. To support the discussion, trainees will submit the planning and resources for the lessons and critically evaluate:• how well the sequence promoted good progress and outcomes by pupils• how well they adapted tasks, resource design and teaching to respond to the needs of all pupils • how they made productive use of assessment to support learning and teaching.

<p>This module develops your understanding of pedagogy, focusing on the key areas of how pupils learn and how to support their progress; planning and teaching well-structured lessons; and adapting teaching to support the needs of all learners. The assessment provides a structured opportunity for you to plan and teach a sequence of lessons with an acute focus on meeting the needs of all learners, and you will critically evaluate the impact of the sequence on pupils’ learning and outcomes.</p>
