This will be supported by a rationale (3000 words, 60%, final) that clearly justifies the artefact in meeting needs, and as an approach based on partnership with and empowerment of a young person. The rationale will explain the young person’s needs, its purpose and how the resource will aid intervention in a complex situation, making links to theory and relevant current initiative or policy

Assessment 1: Written Assignment

You will design and produce an artefact (1,500 words equivalent) that can be used in an intervention with a child based on a case study provided by the tutor. The artefact will be accompanied by an annotation (500 words) that explains how it will be used (artefact and rationale 2000 words equivalent, 40%)

<p>The aim of this module is to provide those intending to work with children, young people and families with the key knowledge and skills to work inclusively and in partnership in response to children’s needs. You will critically examine contemporary family structures and germane developments in legislation and policy including the need for interagency collaboration when undertaking an assessment of a child in need. You will develop an intervention to meet the particular needs of a child. In addition, you will evaluate models of partnership, methods of intervention and research related to child centred approaches which encourage effective working and good outcomes.</p>
