A portfolio examining English (including Phonics), maths and science in the EYFS or primary classroom, exploring and synthesising theory into practice.

<p>This module will prepare you to teach English, mathematics and science across the EYFS and primary age range. You will be introduced to creative, innovative teaching strategies for teaching the core subjects in order to maintain children’s interests. You will learn about key theories and concepts underpinning pedagogy, including those relating to planning and assessment of individual lessons and sequences of lessons. You will be taught about the need to promote high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English. You will be expected to take personal responsibility for auditing your subject knowledge in all subjects and addressing weak areas through personal research. You will produce a portfolio equivalent to 4500 words, examining English, mathematics and science in the EYFS or primary classroom.</p>
