Outline Syllabus
• Principles digital compositing (working with layers, masks, mattes, incorporating 2D motion graphics and video, file types etc.)• Animating complex titles and working with text.• Designing, storyboarding and sequencing effects.• Building effects with filters, keying and colour correction.• Tracking and stabilisation.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students will
1.
Understand the key issues involved in digital compositing, post-production and producing motion graphics.
2.
Have an appreciation of the diversity of post-production for both creative and factual programme making.
3.
Plan and produce a video composition containing a variety of effects using a range of post-production tools and techniques.
4.
Combine video footage with 2D motion graphics and animation.
5.
Identify and implement appropriate post-production solutions for a set task.
