Assessment 1: Portfolio

This involves building a web application with database using the core components of an appropriate web development framework. The assessment is based on the source code provided and a README document (500 words).

Assessment 2: Portfolio

There are two options available for this portfolio. Option A: To present a comparative evaluation of features between two contemporary web development frameworks. The assessment is based on a written report (2,500 words) and recorded presentation (3-5 minutes). Option B: Building upon the Assessment 1 web application by adding advanced features that are sufficiently complex, justified and critically evaluated. The assessment is based on the source code provided and a README document (750 words).

<p>The module covers some of the more advanced approaches to developing web applications, examining both client and server-side technologies. You will explore and compare structured approaches to web development and multiple modern web frameworks, together with a range of contemporary development tools. As your understanding of the technologies and approaches develops, you will aim to critically evaluate them and assess the benefits and risks of using a given approach or framework for a given task.</p>
