Assessment 1: Portfolio

A portfolio of work developed in response to an agreed brief including but not limited to: sketchbook, developmental work, 3D assets, textures, planning documentation etc. Justification of technical process. The creativity of the design. Aesthetic consistency of the artefact. Suitability of ’visual treatments’&amp; process. Adherence to industry-standard techniques.

Assessment 2: Written Assignment

A research report based on a specialist topic related to the portfolio developed. The specification for the product and related research to be agreed in discussion with the tutor.

<p>The module provides an opportunity for you to develop and demonstrate the synthesis of practical and conceptual skills for the planning and implementation of complex 3D projects focusing on the creation of 3D worlds and environments. Studio sessions will be used to introduce and discuss a range of theory and examples of current practice relating to the subject. You will work individually to undertake practical assignments. Individual independent research will allow you to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of a chosen specialist topic.</p>
