Opportunity for formative assessment will be provided through the practical sessions. Work will be set and feedback will be provided on the students&#39; efforts. Model answers will be provided to certain exercises for comparison and evaluation. Students will be able to gain informal feedback on work in progress by taking it to the practical for their tutor to review. Students will also have the opportunity to self-asses their work to gain a greater understanding of the assessment process.

<p>This module is designed to provide you with the opportunity to explore large data sets and big data analytical systems in depth. The aim of this module is to give you the skills and experience to carry out many of the techniques associated with big data analysis, utilising big data methodologies for large data sets, representative of real-life, that may be encountered in a professional environment.</p>

Big Data Analytics

Apply appropriate techniques to real-live situations, such as vibro-acoustic data signals and other maintenance scenarios, in sustainable manufacturing.

Understand accurately established techniques of analysis and enquiry into Big Data fundamentals including multidimensional Big Data acquisition and integration, multi-linear subspace learning, noise reduction and sampling.

Deploy software and tools for Big Data, Open platforms and emerging architectural frameworks, graph-based search and similar technologies.
