A report summarising a mathematical modelling case study focusing on the modelling process and how it is used to address stakeholder requirements.

An individual written report on group work on a mathematical modelling project accompanied by a CV. The report should summarise the problem, describe how mathematics was used to address it, draw conclusions from the mathematical analysis and include a reflective component.

An individual written report on a mathematical modelling project solved as a group. The report should include a reflective component describing the reasoning behind the presentation of information in the report.

<p>This module introduces you to mathematical modelling in its broadest context. Working in groups you will learn to formulate mathematical models to address real world challenges, analyse those models, develop actionable recommendations from the analysis and present your work both to peers and in a form accessible to non-specialist problem stakeholders. Relevant mathematical tools and techniques will be introduced as needed for the specific problems.</p>
