On successful completion of this module students will

Develop a detailed understanding of the fundamental legal principles of European Union law, within aspects of their social, institutional and cultural contexts.

Demonstrate an ability to critically evaluate and apply theoretical concepts, principles and rules of European Union law to legal problems and practical scenarios

Effectively demonstrate knowledge and understanding of theories and concepts relevant to the content of the module.

Undertake directed and self-directed research to retrieve relevant, accurate and up-to-date information from a range of electronic and non-electronic sources including legal databases and the wider internet.
