Assessment 1: In-Class Test

A range of formative devices typically in-class tests, formative feedback on summative assessments, reviews of files and folders etc., will be used by tutors to aid learning.  The exact nature of these assessment devices is at the discretion of the module tutor.

In-Class Test

Assessment 1: Presentation

The assessment will be a 20 minutes group poster presentation relating to a current issue in the area of accounting or finance. This will be presented as a presentation at an assessment centre and will include CVs for all group members.

Issues in Accounting and Finance

Analyse current issues in a range of areas relevant to accounting and finance, and from that analysis demonstrate an understanding of their studies in the context of the global economy.

Understand the importance of personal and professional development.

Understand the importance of career planning and the career planning process.

Demonstrate skills of data gathering, literature search and critical analysis of academic literature.
	 


Make an effective précis (orally and in writing) of complex situations, be able to present information clearly and concisely, and be able to respond to questions arising from that presentation.
