Learning Strategy
There will be a programme of workshops involving academic and practical activities, discussions, individual and group work, individual and small group presentations and the undertaking of individual legal research both in a Law Library and from the Internet.
Workshops will require preliminary study, preparation and subsequent recording of outcomes.

On successful completion of this module students will

Know the oral and writing skills necessary for the successful study and practice of law and understand their importance

Know and understand the sources of English Law and how the law is made and formed
3.
Know and understand the uses of Information Technology skills and specific program applications within the study and practice of law
4.
Undertake structured searches for legal data by textual and electronic means
5.
Demonstrate an understanding of the English legal system
6.
Apply their knowledge and understanding to the interpretation of statute and the analysis and evaluation of case law
