<p>This module will introduce the basic concepts, principles and practices of management and cost accounting. This will include cost classification and behaviour and the accounting treatment of various types of cost for management purposes. Basic principles of financial control will be explored in terms of standard costing, variance analysis and budgeting. The area of decision-making will be explored in terms of the types of costs that should be considered for decisions together with techniques such as cost-volume-profit analysis, limiting factor analysis and pricing</p>
