Assessment 1: Project work

The formative element of the assessment is ongoing. Students prepare short pieces for broadcast and get in-class and following-week feedback on their sports news and production values and technical skills. Students will also receive a total of one hour of individual voice training, with verbal and written feedback.

A portfolio of sports broadcasting and commentary outputs, which would typically include elements such as a sports video highlights package, a match report, and an extract of live commentary.
