Assessment 1: Portfolio (including examples)

This module includes formative assessment points during the module.
Formative assessment will be conducted through tutorials, seminars and online work. As part of this, you will keep a reflective blog.
These assignments will be presented in a portfolio to support your reflective assignments.

Assessment 1: Portfolio

You will undertake a series of tasks either individually or as part of a group which will build into a portfolio for summative assessment.
These tasks will be integrated with projects from other selected modules from the first year. During this series of assignments you will reflect upon your personal and learning development and evidence the knowledge and skills acquired. The series will culminate in an analytical commentary in which you will consider how undertaking this process of critical reflection has enhanced your learning and enabled you to make meaningful connections between your learning in this module and other relevant modules.

This portfolio is based upon a series of tasks and reflection on learning undertaken during the module. These support a final reflective commentary. Feedback on the tasks is given during the module as well as summatively.

The module encourages you to take a holistic view of your programme of study, understanding and using links between modules, and developing academic skills to become an effective independent learner.  You are encouraged to become reflective in your work and learning, and be critical in decision making and thinking. This will be recorded as part of a portfolio of work.
