Assessment 1: Blog/s

The formative element of this module is ongoing. It comprises of a video and audio skills audit logged via a blog. Students perform and evidence tasks and receive feedback, completing a portfolio of exercises that evidence skill completion and background reading or investigation into practice and production convention.

Assessment 2 is a video production project. Students will produce a video sequence, again with supporting paperwork.

Assessment 1 is an audio production project. Students will produce and present a constructed piece of audio, such as a podcast, with accompanying supporting paperwork.

<p>The module introduces you to a range of audio and video technologies: mobile, online, TV and video, radio and audio. You will be provided with the essential studio and location skills necessary to produce a series of video and audio media outputs, and to understand the language and concepts required to evaluate them.</p>

be able to examine the effectiveness of audio, video, mobile and online platforms as methods of communication with a specific audience.

be able to employ modern recording hardware to record audio and video which, when edited, can be incorporated into an individual PDP portfolio.
