All existing tutors are members of the FHEA and new tutors are enrolled on the PgCHE course. All members of staff are active in staff development through their academic research and interaction with the events industry. Tutors regularly visit sector industry related conferences, exhibitions and networking events. The team are all members Association of Event Management Educators (AEME).
Students are encouraged to complete feedback surveys for modules and the course as a whole. Course committee and student panel meetings are held twice a year where student representatives can raise issues and suggestions for improvements to the course.

<li>All students have access to PDP through regular meetings with their Personal Tutors and the modules.</li>

PDP (Personal Development Planning) is part of a core module taught in the foundation year. All students produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate the development of their academic skills and are continuously assessed on their interaction with fellow students and engagement with their studies. In the intermediate year students attend regular Supervised Work Experience workshops where CV writing, interview and interpersonal skills are practiced in preparation for their year in industry. The SWE year allows students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge in industry. Students fully engage in their workplace and develop their knowledge of industry standards and organisational culture. Students produce a portfolio of evidence to reflect the objectives set in their learning contract prior to starting their SWE year. The honours year continues to advance personal development by preparing students for graduate employment. In addition students apply their skills and knowledge gained from the SWE year to their final live event project.
