Global Marketing Top Up - UH-000249

The University’s policy for Admissions is outlined in Section A of the Regulations for Awards Handbook (<a href="https://www.hud.ac.uk/policies/registry/awards-taught/">https://www.hud.ac.uk/policies/registry/awards-taught/</a>).  In addition to the standard University requirements, candidates must meet the following criteria for admission.
Entry onto the top up degree will require either:
A higher national diploma or equivalent from a recognised awarding body in the UK.
Overseas students are expected to offer the equivalent of a BTEC Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.  In addition, candidates whose mother tongue is not English are required to provided evidence of fluency through TOFEL (minimum score 550) or IELTS (minimum score 6.0) or some other, equivalent, qualification.
OR
Progression to a similar level on a comparable course within a college or University elsewhere (e.g.: Advanced Diploma from the Institute of Administrative Management [Reg. Office Kent]) or Higher Diploma from a recognised Hong Kong institution, e.g.; Caritas Francis HSu) and be able to satisfy the admissions tutor/pathway leader that they can benefit from such a course of study.
OR
A candidate is expected to offer the equivalent of a BTEC Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.  In addition, candidates from mainland Europe whose mother tongue is not English are required to provided evidence of fluency through TOFEL (minimum score 550) or IELTS (minimum score 6.0) or some other, equivalent, qualification.
For EU students entry to a Top Up degree requires 240 credits or 120 ETCS.
For Overseas students entry to a Top Up degree requires 240 credits equivalent

Students will be supported by a number of staff associated with the course, as indicated below:
<ul>
<li>module tutors and module leaders, in the context of module-specific problems</li>
<li>year tutors: each year cohort will have a year tutor with specific responsibility for matters affecting the year group as a whole.</li>
<li>course leader, with responsibility for course-level issues and as an alternative source of support to year tutors</li>
<li>personal tutor system: all students will be allocated a personal tutor within the Department. Personal tutoring for these students will be proactive and skills and learning focused, whilst also accommodating those with more specific difficulties.</li>
</ul>
Where students have special educational needs alternative assessment strategies or documentation formats may be provided.
